I’ve had the name “IdeaBang” for years. The concept comes from the classic “spark” of an idea. The synapse that fires, traveling at light speed, into the “Hey man… I got one!” part of the brain.
“When that happens your whole head lights up.” That’s all I said to Chris Blanz. Three days later I had a logo that was 140,000 times better than I could have ever come up with. Chris is truly one of the best designers walking the Earth. He’s the CEO of a company he started called Cabedge. At Cabedge they design websites for big companies. That’s not all they do either. The place is crawling with really creative people and you can feel the ideas bouncing off the walls when you walk in. It’s a great ideas place.
I’ve told you about Chris before. He’s the guy with so many awards that the room he keeps them in looks like a trophy shop.
I’m telling you about Chris because he hasn’t always been an award winning designer. Had I found Chris before he had won so many awards and started a few companies and became a CEO 3 or 4 times he still would have been just as creative and just as great at design. However, he wouldn’t have been as expensive. If you have a great company name and you need a logo and you’re bootstrapping, go out and find yourself a Chris Blanz. A Chris Blanz before he’s won all the awards. He’s out there… and he’s looking for you too.
